Book of Eli was a great flick.

Avatar was the skizzle on blue ray if you got one. Make sure you got suround sound it is even better.

I never saw Avatar. I thought it was an over grown 3D rendition of FernGully. Opinions for those who saw it?

I wasn't a fan. I thought the story was lacking and the use of the element "Unobtanium" told me before it was over what the ending was going to be. The whole gas parable and the ways of those blue people seemed contrived. I also disliked the personification of the military state as a horrible thing. It's the way the world worked, and worked well, for the majority of our existence.

I thought Avatar was terrible - I can't believe that it was as big of a deal as it was. I went and saw it in theaters, at my wife's request, and left after the 2nd hour because the story was just dragging on so long and was getting pretty ridiculous.

I think that people just thought it was good because of the status quo that was somehow created around it.
