Attractions in Redwood / San Carlos Area

Hello Everyone,

For business I visit this region almost every other week. I'm looking for hotspots and things to do. I'm getting fairly familiar with the area and am willing to travel nearby. Gets kind of boring doing the same thing every week.

I'm mostly interested in Restaurants or local scenes that are very unique to the area.

In Redwood City

The Coffee Roastery - nice coffee house, awesome cornmeal pancakes
The Daily Grind - great local coffee shop (near Wholefoods)
Haus Staudt's German Beer Garden - best German beer around
Club Mayan - dance club, bit rough
Suisha House - Suishi
Club Fox - good music
Angelica's - good local music

San Carlos

The Office - outdoor covered patio, decent beer/burgers, cheap =)
The Refuge - best pastrami around, serves hard to find Belgian beers expensive but worth it =)
Flight Lounge - nice wine bar, decent apps
Town - decent restaurant/bar scene, make reservation they can be snooty
Sneakers - standard sports bar

Up the road towards Belmont

Ausiello's - good dive bar
Marvin Gardens - good burgers/sandwiches and beer selection
Godfathers Burgers - great burgers, local beer on tap
Devil's Canyon Brewery Beer Friday (last Friday of the month)

A bit south, Menlo Park, Palo Alto

The Dish, the hills above Stanford, great walk/run open space
Stanford Quad, beautiful Spanish Architecture, Rodin's statue
garden
The Rose and Crown - great beer selection, local bar

Even farther South, a nice day out will never go wrong being spent walking around Santana Row - European styled outdoor mall space.
Lots of other stuff in between as well
