How about a mini hydroelectric plant on Fountain Creek?
Mini Hydro works and is particularly suited to New England and much of the east coast. The old mill ponds powering water wheel industry are proven to be easily and cheaply converted to mini-hydro.

One was in an experimental demonstration phase where I lived in PA. Next we heard they were purchased by an energy company and disappeared.

Yes it should be moved. Millions will soon be spent JUST to renovate the plant, why not explore moving it so that we can free up space to further revitalize downtown? We should know the exact cost of moving the plant by December this year. Imagine the economic impact of that space with revitalized and useable waterways, small business, residential and recreation...in the long term, moving the plant is best for our community.
