Brew Master watch party

I received an email from the owner of The Common Table located in uptown. They will be hosting a Dallas watching party for the new Discovery Channel Show: Brew Masters. It will be this Sunday at 9pm. Get there early to get a seat. I have never been in there, but I hear they get in some unique brews.

Is this show more about brewing or just beer in general?

It looks like the show follows Sam Calagione as he looks at different cultures' versions of beer and probably give a very high level explanation for how to brew. I am not getting my hopes up that this will be half way as educational to the homebrewer than say, a Brewing Network podcast.

I hope this show is not lame. Sam seems cool and all, and DFH rules, but I'm always weary about things like this...

I thought the DGH guy was interesting in Beer Wars, hopefully I can catch this show somewhere around Denton.

So far so good on the show. I love DFH beers...just wish that more were available in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. TABC and our goofy laws....
