San Bernardino Wilderness Hiking Trails

I have been on pretty much every trail in the San Bernardino Wilderness. I have hiked to the top of San Gorgonio, and I did the 9 Peaks Hike in ONE day. I have hit BOTH San Bernardino peaks twice. The wilderness there really is amazing. They take really good care of the trails.

Anyone else been hiking up there?

I hiked San Gorgonio years ago. What a great time! Is that old plane crash remains still up near the peak? We saw the bent up old propeller and decided to carry it back with us but when we lifted it, found out it weighed about 300 pounds, so we left it there!

Great pics! They didn't have a plaque when I saw it, and never knew the details. I'm glad we didn't take the prop, I would have felt pretty crappy since that is a memorial to honor the men who lost their lives!

That tram is in Palm Springs and it takes you to the San Jacinto mountain range. From there you can camp or hike and you can hit the San Jacinto Peak in one day. Very, very nice view. Better than the ones of San Gorgonio.

My wife and I are avid campers and love hiking. San G is one of our favorites. We will on occasion take a morning and just hike out to Poop Out hill. There is an awesome site to see just past that in the wilderness of the avalanche that happened last March. Awesome.

Can I get some details on how exactly to get to the plane wreck/memorial?
