Mountain biking in Jax

I'm into mountain biking but Jacksonville is pretty limited. Ft. Clinch in Fernandina, Hanna Park in Mayport or Grahams Swamp in Palm Coast is really all we have anymore. Know of any other places nearby or in town that can be ridden?

Through the year you can get a pass for Matanzas WMA on US1 south of CR 206 South of St. Augustine. Hardpack Trails and some off-road trails/deer runs make it interesting biking through Florida "back country" it is wild, there are no amenities here. Be careful of wildlife.... GPS is a must have. but a fun ride. Ranger's office must be contacted first for admittance pass (no charge) you can find all the info/maps/etc at Matanzas Wildlife Management Area

I agree on Guana Tolomato Matanzas--much fun, but seriously, watch out for snakes.

These are all good suggestions and I like riding these parks. What I'm really looking for is some, *ehem*, "local knowledge". Does anyone remember the old Crusty Knuckle trail system? It's pretty much a lost cause but I know there has to be other stuff out there somewhere these days.

There is nothing else. Hanna Park is the closest resource, then it's Fernandina, Santos, and Alafia. There's one other that I can't remember, but it has hills and is pretty dece if it's rained recently (it's sandy at times). I need my coffee.

BTW, there's a race going on in Alafia right now.
