How's Mississippi? - Mississippi

I currently live in Montgomery, Alabama, but I want to move out of state. I love southern states so I am highly considering Mississippi. I'm in my late twenties, and want to find a place that has a good night life. What do you suggest?

I was born and raised there, it does not pay well and the night life sucks. If you have a lot of money you might like it but I doubt that too.

Think about Texas, around the Austin area.

As far as Columbus MS goes, it's boring. No nightlife whatsoever...

Jackson Ms has a night life... If you don't mind getting shot at, stabbed, or raped. Crappy city all around and if I my job didn't pay decently I'd be out of here in a heart beat.

I dont think that is quite correct. Have you lived here. or is it hearsay. where did yall live? I live on the coast we have about 13 casinos,great food an hour from new orleans . if you want to work there are jobs. i for one with very little education associates degree make around 50000 with 20-30 in OT .so were was it that sucks fishing, beachs good weather except for the occasiona; hurricane but then they are good for the economy, all casinos have several bars and you can drink for free at any slot machine even the penny

I will have to agree that the coastal area is better for a night life. I can't attest to the crime personally.

Though I still recommend staying away from the capitol and the center of the state. Seems like there is almost nothing but slime here.

I'll pass, not looking to get shot up. I hear that the coast is better though, for sure.

I lived in Biloxi, and now in Baton Rouge. I would prefer LA over MS almost any day...

I love LA. I have lots of family there. So you like living in Baton Rouge? Do you go to LSU?
