Gotta be Schlafly. Mattingly's had some good stuff too, when it was open. Speaking of which, anyone wanna open a new brewery there

I am so happy I tried Schlafly when I moved here. Fantastic Beer. Love their Pale Ale.

Back home in Chicagoland - Three Floyds (Munster, IN) wins hands down. I always bring back 5 or 6 sixpacks of Pride and Joy when I'm up there.

Does O'Fallon have a tour and tasting room, per se?

Hands down, SCHLAFLY. Their seasonals and special releases are the best.
After that it would have to be Square One.

Highlands (formerly Alandales) is now putting out some really good beers. I never liked them as Alandales, but they are way better now.

Schlafly is by far my favorite STL brewery. They put out some tasty beverages.

Square One Brewery and Distillery gets my vote. Of course they are located 2 blocks from home so I often walk there and stumble home. They have a decent menu and you can't beat $2 Burger night on Tuesdays.

I like the Schlafly Tap Room better than the Bottleworks if just for the atmosphere. Plus they also put some of the crazier stuff on tap there.

It's a small brewary...but if you call them up and say you've got 10 people that want a tour, they will set it up for you...their 5 day IPA is awesome!

Schafly, O'Fallon, and Square One are all really good! The Hill Brewery in Ferguson makes some good stuff, and they aren't scared to try different things, and be a little more extreme. The brewer from Trailhead is the head brewer(from my understanding), and he has a lot more flexibility here. One interesting brew that I've never had elsewhere is a Pecan Brown Ale, that they make at Hill Brewery. Good stuff! Trailhead makes some decent beer too, just nothing hoppy...I am still in amazement that they don't even have a pale ale! They have a great brown though!
