I visited several brew pubs in Virginia a few months ago and Devil's Backbone was the best. (dbbrewingcompany.com) Not a bad beer in their lineup. It was matched with excellent food, live music and a great atmosphere.

I've been meaning to check that place out. It's a solid 2 hour drive from me but I've heard some good things about it...one more positive review now. I really need to suck it up and make the trip.

cally's in harrisonburg has a few good ones. jack browns while not a brew pub has an extensive collection of brews.
