I live in Killeen, and it isn't all that great. I do like that it is about a 3 hour drive from Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. I am a big fan of Austin.

Anywhere on the outskirts of Dallas or Ft Worth. Weather is great, and there is something fun to do .

You might stay away from the Amarillo area. They get cold and snow too. Though most of the cold is at night.

Agreed, but I have always enjoyed Amarillo.

Do like I did, put that snow shovel, on your shoulder, and start walking South from the Texas line. When the first person asks you what is that, STOP!!!
