I am saying a bad thing.
The criminals are NOT going to give theirs up.
I know for darn sure, I am not getting rid of mine!

I don't think any one but criminals would. I own guns, and even if groceries are lacking, I wouldn't hand it over to the Cops. I think the beauty/horror of this program is that they are taking guns without serial numbers. I think getting those of he street is important.

They aren't running the numbers there, but they will run them. They also plan on running ballistics to see if they match up to any murders.

Of course I'm sure there's a ton of them that were turned in that didn't even work.

If I had a $50 pimp gun (ie raven tech) I'd gladly turn it in for cash or grocery card though.

The down side that I would see is crooks will be more motivated to home invasions in the hopes of finding guns and turning them in without the cops checking. Last thing i need is a crack head breaking in to steal my kids Red Ryder!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that still owns a red-rider.

Food for my guns? Not on your life...

If they took away guns, criminals would only have an easier time...
