Not really a bar, per se, but Cask in Murray Hill is pretty awesome. Good beers on tap and some really awesome food to accompany!

Their beer selection is one of the largest i've seen in NY.

D.B.A. in Manhattan - if for the beer selection alone... prices are sort of steep, at least by my standards.

I grew up in the East Village and McSorleys will always be near and dear to my heart. Dark or Light, evens only.
I get back as often as I can. Same bartenders, just new cats.

I am a big fan of Antarctica on Hudson and Spring. It's a good local pub with out a lot of distractions so you can really focus on your drinking.
