Camping in Texas State Parks

I bet it is, if I remember right the scopes up there are pretty old. My kids got to move the big one on a tour, they talk about it to this day. We have yet to attend the star parties they have, but we will this summer for sure. I love camping in Fort Davis. They have some great food, Mexican and BBQ. There is a Caboose that has an ice cream shop inside next to the BBQ shop, Blue Bell ice cream. I would highly recommend a camp trip out here if anyone is looking at camping. During the summer time you can get temps 10 to 15 degrees cooler than down in Balmorhea.

I think Akumal Beach is also a great place for camping with family. They have large play-ground for kids that include swings, monkey bars, teeter-totter and awesome merry-go- round.
